I got to photograph Elizabeth and Luis’ awesome Fox Hollow Wedding. I’m truly a lucky girl because all my couples have been nothing but sweet to work with. Elizabeth and Luis definitely fit into the category! One of my favorite things about them is that they are really funny! Seriously, that had me laughing all day long!
I started my day taking details and getting some candids of Liz getting ready with her bridesmaids. She wanted to go far a vintage bridal look and her mermaid and headpiece from Bridal Reflection fit the bill. Their ceremony was late in the evening and Liz and Luis wanted to take advantage of the pretty garden, so they decided to due a first look. I was happy to grant their wishes! While we waited for Liz to come over for the first look, Luis told me he was nervous. However, as soon as he saw his beautiful bride those nerves seem to disappear!
There ceremony was sweet and intimate. Together with their closest family and friend they become husband and wife. The reception was awesome! Their guests dance, laugh and had a great time! They had a Dominican band to play tribute to Liz’s Dominican heritage. It was such a great day! I’m so happy to have been a part of it.
Elizabeth and Luis thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for being so great to me and so darn photogenic! You two were a delight to work with and I hope we continue to see each other in the future.
I really love the following picture because it really shows their personalities! Always laughing : )

I’m so excited to share Shoi and Verdi’s America’s Society wedding! Shoi and Verdi were one of the nicest, caring couple that I had the pleasure working with. From the moment I got there Shoi and her family made me feel so comfortable around them. While walking to Central Park Verdi stop to help an elderly man go up the stair and his best man told me that’s so Verdi. There were just so wonderful to be around with and to photograph. Their love just shines through and there laughter is so contiguous! I was just delighted to capture their beautiful wedding and i’m so happy the way the pictures of their America’s society wedding came out.
We started our day with photographing Shoi getting ready at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Shoi grow up attending this beautiful church and it was no question that it would be where she will be married. After the ceremony we stop by Central Park for pictures. The weather could not have been any better!
Their elegant reception was held at the America’s Society and wowzer was this place beautiful! The light was awesome! My favorite spot was the grand staircase, it was a dream to shoot them there! We decided to sneak outside during the cocktail hour to get some fun “NYC” shots and am so happy the way they came out! It was such a fun night and boy did her family know how to party! They didn’t stop dancing all night long, it was great : )
I was honor to be a part of Shoi and Verdi’s special day. I had a great time with this awesome couple and their family. Many thanks for letting me be a part of it : )

I really love shooing engagement sessions, personally I think there so much fun! I’m able to get to know my clients better and learn a lot more about who they are. Engagement sessions are also a way that my couples can get an idea of what it’s going to be like when I photograph them on their wedding day. My couples are so much more comfortable around my camera on the big day because they already know what to expect : )
I made this blog post to give you tips for your engagement shoot.
If your engagement session is coming up, you probably have a lot of questions! What should I wear? Where should we take our pictures? How should I do my hair and makeup? Don’t worry you’re not the only one with these questions. These are all typical questions that I get ask about. Keep reading for the answers : )
Locations, Locations, Location!
The location you pick is a big factor for creating beautiful photos. Be creative and try to thick of places that are important to you. If you guys love the beach why not take them at the beach during a sunset? Or maybe the place where you met or where he proposed? If you are stuck on where to go, I will be more than happy to recommend spot that I love to shoot at!
What is the best time of the date to take our pictures?
My brides often ask me what is the best time of the day to take their pictures. I always suggest to do your session in the evening about one hour before sunset or early morning an hour before sunrise. This is know as the “Golden Hour” in photography. This is the time what the lightning is at is best! I tell my couples to try to avoid taking pictures when the sun is in full force. This can create unwanted shadow and can limit the spots where we can shoot.
What Should I Wear?
The date is set, the place is set but now you are trying to decide what to wear. The most important thing that I tell my couples when they ask me this question is to wear something that makes them feel comfortable but bring it up a notch. If you are a jean type of girl, why not wear your jeans but pair it with a great pair of heels and a cute top! Add earrings and a cute bracelet and you are ready to rock your engagement session! If you want to go all out then put on your fancy sparkly dress and heels and a tux for your groom! Make it fun : )
My goals is to make your engagement session fun. We will talk, laugh and of course take pretty pictures! I want you to feel like am an old friend by the end of the session so that when the big day comes around you will feel comfortable around my and my camera.
